The judges will evaluate your submission based on your responses to the following questions. Please provide detailed and clear answers, highlighting the impact and achievements of your initiative. Be sure to include the name of your project at the beginning of your submission. You are welcome to include supporting images, graphics, or documents to enhance your submission.

All submissions must be in PDF format.

  • What was your destination event, and what did it offer?
  • What were the top three objectives for hosting the event, and how did you achieve them?
  • How did your event raise the profile of the City of Edmonton at the provincial, regional, national, or international levels?
  • How did your event promote the City of Edmonton effectively?
  • What was the economic impact of the event on Edmonton’s local economy, including restaurants, accommodations, and transportation?
  • How was your destination event funded?
  • How many people attended the event?
  • What strategies and activities did you use to engage attendees?
  • How did you promote the destination event?
  • What made your event unique and innovative?
  • Why should your organization be awarded the Destination Event of the Year?

Event must have been held in the 2024 calendar year (January 2024 to December 31, 2024)
